The devastation Typhoon Pepeng caused in Benguet last October 8, 2009 was unparalleled, according to the senior locals. The killer mudslides from the terrible rainfall wrecked properties and buried families in its path. Those who survived are left with grief, losses, and trauma from their horrifying ordeal. One month later, they are still coping with grief and struggling to rebuild their lives from the wreckage.
To somehow assist them in their plight, a JOHIA team will be doing a medical outreach along with the LIFE IN JESUS MINISTRY at their daughter church outside the city and near the site of the devastation. Pastor Ed Chan of Ablaze for Jesus is coordinating this with us. It is scheduled on November 27, 2009 and will be serving families severely affected by the disaster.

Please help us in this attempt to rebuild lives after the disaster. More than the medicines, they need our prayers. Your prayers for the team as they minister to trauma victims will also be much appreciated. Contributions are very much welcome for this effort. The JOHIA office will be open for contributions in forms of relief and medicines. Cash donations can be deposited through the Banco Filipino Cubao branch account # 11009700001-2 or UCPB Cubao Branch foreign currency savings account # 011403016740. To inform the JOHIA office for contributions made, please call us at 9123031 or send an email through johia_phil15@yahoo.com.
The prompt assistance you gave last medical missions in Banaba, San Mateo has been much appreciated by the ONDOY victims. Your help in this activity will be God's hand of healing for them in Benguet.

"Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy, and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity...at present time your plenty will supply what they need..." 2 Corinthians 8:2 and 14
